Seniority and Allotment Year for IAS Officers (Haryana Cadre) from State Civil Service, Select Lists 2021-2024

S

A recent government directive has brought clarity to the seniority and year of allotment for officers who have transitioned into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the State Civil Service within the Haryana Cadre. This comprehensive order meticulously details the methodology for determining these crucial career milestones, adhering strictly to the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules of 1987, alongside other relevant guidelines. A specific weightage formula, which considers the number of completed years of qualifying service, is applied to ensure a fair and transparent calculation of seniority. The directive provides exhaustive lists for those inducted via the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Select Lists, presenting their date of continuous service, total accrued weightage, and their officially entitled year of allotment. Furthermore, it precisely stipulates how these newly appointed officers are to be placed within the existing IAS hierarchy, outlining their positioning relative to both direct recruit and other State Civil Service promoted IAS officers already in the cadre. This significant step aims to streamline administrative processes and provide clear guidelines for the career progression of these dedicated public servants.
