This notification details amendments to the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964. Specifically, it addresses the unauthorized communication of information by government servants. The amendment clarifies that quoting from documents—letters, circulars, or file notes—that a government servant is not authorized to access or possess for personal use constitutes a breach of conduct. The rules were enacted under the authority of the Constitution and in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. The notification also lists the various ministries, departments, and organizations to which copies of the rules have been forwarded for informational purposes.
