The President of India has approved the appointment of Shri Ashim Khurana, an IAS officer, as the Chairman of the Staff Selection Commission in New Delhi. This appointment is effective from December 9, 2015, in the Additional Secretary level pay scale. The deputation is initially valid until he reaches the age of superannuation on May 31, 2016. Following this, he may continue as Chairman on a re-employment basis from June 1, 2016, until he turns 62 years old or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first.

NOTIFICATION
The President is pleased to appoint Shri Ashim Khurana, IAS (GJ:83) as Chairman, Staff Selection Commission, New Delhi (Additional Secretary level) with effect from $09^{\text {th }}$ December, 2015 (Afternoon) in the scale of pay of Rs. 67,000-79,000/- on deputation basis till he attains the age of superannuation on 31.05:2016 and continuation as Chairman, Staff Selection Commission or re-employment basis with effect from 01.06.2016 till he attains the age of 62 years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
