Amendment to Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965

This notification introduces amendments to the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965. Specifically, it updates Part V of the Schedule, pertaining to group ‘C’ posts within the Headquarters of Andaman and Nicobar Command and other lower formations under the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff. The amendments clarify the appointing authorities and the competent authorities for imposing penalties, including the types of penalties that can be administered. These changes are effective upon their publication in the Official Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 8th March, 2018.
G.S.R. 216(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, namely:-

  1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Amendment Rules, 2018.
    (2) They shall come into force on the day of their publication in the Official Gazette.
  2. In the Schedule to the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, in Part V, against serial number 2, in Paragraph B, for sub-paragraph (xviii), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
