The President has issued amendments to the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965. These amendments, effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, introduce specific changes to the Schedule of the rules. Notably, the definitions and designations related to the Indian Posts and Telegraphs Accounts and Finance Service and related departments have been updated to reflect the reorganization into “Telecommunication Wing” and “Telecommunications”. This includes adjustments to positions like “Member, Posts and Telegraphs Board” to “Member, Telecommunication Board” and the renaming of “Chief Controller of Telegraph Stores” to “General Manager, Telecommunication Stores”. Additionally, a new serial number 10A has been inserted to accommodate these changes.

2 कन्दीप भिरित मेवा (बर्गीकरण, नियंत्रण और धनीन) नियम, 1965 की धनुसूची में भाग 2 में :-
(1) भारतीय शाक तार लेखा और वित्त मेवा, नमूह “ख” मे संबंधित कम संख्यांश 10 के मामने. –
(i) स्तम्भ 2 में, “भारतीय शाक तार लेखा और वित्त मेवा, ममूह ख” शब्दों के स्थान पर “भारतीय शाक तार लेखा और वित्त मेवा, दूर मंचार मिए नमूह ख” शब्द रखे जायंगे;
(ii) स्तम्भ 4 में, “मदस्य शाक तार बोर्ड” शब्दों के स्थान पर “मदस्य, दूर मंचार बोर्ड” शब्द रखे जाएंगे और “मुख्य नियंत्रक, तार भंडार” शब्दों के स्थान पर “महा प्रबन्धक, दूर मंचार भंडार” शब्द रखे जाएंगे;
(2) कम संख्या 10 के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित कम संख्या और उन मे संबंधित प्रतिक्रियां भ्रन्त स्थापित की जाएंगी, अर्थात् :-
(3) तार इंदीनियरी और बेतार मेवा, नमूह “ख”, भारतीय शाक-तार लेखा और वित्त मेवा, नमूह “ख” और तार पातायात मेवा, समूह “ख” मे संबंधित कम सं. 9,10 और 11 के मामने, स्तम्भ 3 और 4 में, “शाक-तार महानिदेशक” शब्दों के स्थान पर “दूर मंचार महानिदेशक” शब्द रखे जाएंगे।

S. O. 831.-In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, namely :-
- (1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Amendment Rules, 1987.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. - In part 11 of the Schedule to the Central Civil Services (Clasification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965 :-
(1) against serial number 10 relating to Indian Posts and Telegraphs Accounts and Forces Service, Group ‘B’ : –
(i) in column 2 for the words “Indian Posts and Telegraphs Accounts and Finance Service, Group B”, the words “Indian Posts and Telegraphs Accounts and Finance Service Telecommunication Wing, Group B” shall be substituted;
(ii) in column 4, for the words “Member, Posts and Telegraphs Board”, the words “Member, Telecommunication Board” shall be substituted, and for the words “Chief Controller of Telegraph Stores”, the words “General Manager, Telecommunication Stores” shall be substituted;
(2) after Serial number 10, the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be inserted, namely :-
