The government has issued new rules to amend the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules of 1964. These amendments, effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, primarily focus on marital status. Specifically, the marginal heading for rule 21 has been changed to ‘Restriction regarding marriage.’ Furthermore, a new sub-rule (3) has been added, requiring government servants who are married or marry a person of non-Indian nationality to promptly inform the government.
