The Competent Authority has approved the premature repatriation of Shri Rajkumar Maruti Vhatkar, an IPS officer from the 1998 batch, currently serving as DIG in the CBI’s Anti-Corruption Bureau in Mumbai. The decision directs that his ‘cooling off’ period will be calculated not from the date of his actual repatriation, but from the date when his normal deputation tenure in the CBI would have concluded, as per the IPS Tenure Policy. This communication also lists several entities to whom copies have been sent, including the Central Vigilance Commissioner, DS (Police) at MHA, Director (Technical) at NIC for DOPT website updates, the concerned file, and the guard file.
