The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions has approved the induction of Shri Y.C. Modi, IPS, as Additional Director in the CBI for an initial period of 4 years. The Ministry of Home Affairs is requested to facilitate his relieving from his current post immediately to enable him to join the CBI on deputation. Necessary orders should be issued and communicated to the Department of Personnel & Training and the CBI. Copies of this communication are being sent to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, EO(SM-I)/DOPT, Director CBI, Director (Technical) NIC for website update, and relevant files.

Approval of the competent authority is conveyed to the induction of Shri Y.C. Modi, IPS (AM:1984) as Additional Director in the CBI for an initial period of 4 years from the date of assumption of charge of post.
2. MHA is requested to take up the matter with the concerned State Government immediately for his relieving in order to enable him to join the CBI on deputation basis. Necessary orders may please be issued accordingly under intimation to this Department and CBI.
