The competent authority has approved the appointment of five IPS officers, currently serving as SPs in the CBI, to the rank of DIG. These appointments are to fill existing vacancies at the DIG level within the Centre, with their tenures specified for each officer. The officers appointed are Rakesh Rathi, Asif Jalal, Smt. Harshita Attaluri, Abhay Singh, and Jose Mohan, along with their respective cadres, batches, and approved tenures. The communication is addressed to the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation and copies are marked to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, DS(Police) at MHA, Director (Technical) at NIC for website updates, relevant files, and the Guard File.
