The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved an extension to the central deputation tenure of Shri Vineet Vinayak, IPS, who serves as Joint Director at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). This extension grants him an additional six months beyond March 9, 2021, under a relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy of 2010. The order has been issued to the Director of CBI and has been shared with the Central Vigilance Commissioner, Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and other relevant officials within the Department of Personnel & Training.
