The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ms. Vidya Jayant Kulkarni, Shri Ghanshyam Upadhyay and Shri Nawal Bajaj, all of the IPS, as Joint Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Their appointments are for a period of five years on deputation or lateral shift basis, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved induction of following IPS officers as Joint Director in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI):-
(i) Ms. Vidya Jayant Kulkarni, IPS (TN:98) for a period of five years on deputation basis from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier;
(ii) Shri Ghanshyam Upadhyay, IPS(OR:99) for a combined period of five years i.e. upto 29.06.2026 on lateral shift basis, or until further orders, whichever is earlier; and,
(iii) Shri Nawal Bajaj, IPS (MH:1995) on lateral shift basis for a combined tenure of five years i.e. upto 06.06.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
