Extension of Deputation Tenure for Joint Directors at Central Bureau of Investigation

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of deputation tenure for Shri Rakesh Aggarwal, Joint Director at the Central Bureau of Investigation, for six months beyond September 2, 2022. Additionally, the tenure of Ms. Sampat Meena, also Joint Director at the CBI, has been extended for a combined period of seven years up to September 21, 2024. These extensions are granted in relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy.

ORDER
Approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) is hereby conveyed for extension in deputation tenure of
i. Shri Rakesh Aggarwal, IPS (HP: 1994), Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation for a period of six months beyond 02.09.2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in relaxation of IPS Tenure Policy; and
ii. Ms. Sampat Meena, IPS (JH: 1994), Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation for a combined period of 07 years upto 21.09.2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
