The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Ajay Bhatnagar, IPS, as Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). His tenure will begin from the date he assumes charge and will continue until his superannuation on November 30, 2024, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first.
