Extension/Regularization of Deputation Tenure of IPS Officers in CBI

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension and regularization of the deputation tenure for two IPS officers in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Shri Vineet Vinayak’s tenure has been extended from 10.09.2021 up to 30.09.2023, and Shri Amit Kumar’s tenure has been extended from 09.09.2016 up to 30.09.2023. These extensions are granted in relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy 2010.

Approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) is hereby conveyed for:-
(i) Extension/regularization of deputation tenure of Shri Vineet Vinayak, IPS (SK:1995), JD, CBI from 10.09.2021 and upto 30.09.2023 in relaxation of IPS Tenure Policy 2010; and
(ii) Extension/regularization of deputation tenure of Shri Amit Kumar, IPS (CG:1998), JD, CBI from 09.09.2016 and upto 30.09.2023 in relaxation of IPS Tenure Policy 2010.
